Two Myanmar military fighter jets indiscriminately bombed Vuilu village located 45 miles from Matupi town in Chin state on November 15, 2023 between 6pm-7pm which claimed 11 lives including 8 children under 12, along with their volunteer teacher U Ha Kong and two villagers and also half a dozen villagers were wounded. Just two days prior to the bombing, the Chin National Army together with Chinland Defense Forces attacked strategic border town located at Indian and Chin State and successfully captured military base there at Rih Khawdar. Chin National Front’ flag was raised above the border bridge, replacing Myanmar army’ flag just after Rih Khawdar is captured by combined Chinland people army in November 13, 2023.
On October 27, 2023 Northern Brotherhood Alliance namely; MNDAA – Myanmar National Democratic Alliance Army, TNLA -Ta’ang National Liberation Army and AA-Arakan Army launched a famous known as Operation 1027 and within week, over a hundred Myanmar military bases and outposts were seized with some important towns fallen under the alliance forces control. Not even day apart, several people defence forces across Myanmar joined Operation 1027 including Chin national army and Chinland defence forces and suddenly Myanmar terrorist regime is cornered. Geographically, half of Myanmar is now fallen under the control of Alliance forces and people defence forces especially in the north, northeast, west, northwest and eastern fronts.
In fact, Vuilu is a recluse village where there is no arm activities except some teachers and government employees who are participating in Civil Disobedient Movement (CDM) staying temporarily to avoid sporadic urban skirmishes between military regime and people defence forces. The bombing on Vuilu village is grave human right violation which amounted to genocidal attack as it only killed children and innocent villagers.
Due to Myanmar military regime indiscriminate attacks and frequent jet-bombings in several villages in Chin state, most intensively in Thantlang, Matupi and Mindat townships, over 80,000 Chin civilians fled to Mizoram state, India including twenty thousands to Malaysia since military coup in February 2021. Chin state is declared war zone and martial laws is ordered by Myanmar military regime since the coup.
As much as the people of Myanmar is anxious about the success of alliance forces, they also placed their hands at their hearts and prepared for the worst as the ruthless military regime is now conniving with their accomplices, most probably to attack civilians as this tactics has been their modus operandi for decades.
